Today, we pause to express profound gratitude to the over 1,400 military-connected students at our university, and for all of our nation’s Veterans. They are heroes, and we honor them for all they put aside for the benefit of all Americans, in service to something larger than themselves. They lead by example in answering the call of duty, living with courage and making extraordinary sacrifices in the defense of freedom, liberty and peace.
