Greetings students, faculty, and staff,
We have much to be thankful for during this Thanksgiving season, a time for reflection and gratitude. I’m incredibly grateful to all who contribute to our university and its successes. I’m also thankful for the many ways our shared commitment to excellence advances Mississippi and beyond.
Studies show that expressing gratitude and appreciation boosts happiness and wellness. It is also a tangible way to recognize and acknowledge the goodness in our lives. I hope you will enjoy time with loved ones, care for yourself by relaxing and recharging, and reach out to others whom you care about during the holidays. Every small act of kindness and generosity can make a great difference.
To our faculty and staff, I hope you join us for food and fellowship at the 2022 Holiday Meal on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., in The Gertrude C. Ford Student Union Ballroom. Community members may enjoy participating in the “Turkey Trot” with Campus Recreation on Thanksgiving Day. Finally, we will host the Egg Bowl in Oxford this year — Hotty Toddy!
May your Thanksgiving be joyful, restful, and healthy. Emily and I are grateful that you are part of the Ole Miss community, and we look forward to a productive end to the fall semester when you return.
All my best,
Glenn F. Boyce
